Mimetic desire, a concept enunciated by French philosopher Rene Girard, suggests that one desires something because somebody else desires that thing; in other words, the desire of one mimics the desire of the other.
The performance, deriving from the concept of mimetic desire and structured around atonal guitar and microphone drones, sees both artists in a feedback-duet that tries to challenge notions of traditional composition-making and the general nature of improvisational techniques.
